Think you might want to join the racing team? We invite all runners to test out the competitive team for an open period at the start of each quarter. You can train with us and get a feel for the team without making a commitment. Join us on Mondays and Thursdays at 6:00 PM on the track. Hope to see you there!
The Club Cross Country/Track Team is a subteam within the Stanford Running Club that competes in the NIRCA (National Intercollegiate Running Club Association) circuit. If you're looking to train hard, race hard, and play hard, then the competitive team is the place for you. Everyone is encouraged to participate -- whether you're an undergrad, masters student, or PhD; whether you've been training your butt off, have taken a couple year's hiatus, or are just starting up; whether you're a 10k king or 100m speedster--you'll have a place on the competitive team.

Note that members of the competitive team pay quarterly club dues. This money convers workouts and race entry fees. If this poses any financial burden, please let us know -- all students have the opportunity to compete with SRC! In addition, all team members help fundraise for the team through Stanford-sponsered events like writing TSF letters.
Mandatory track workouts w/ Coach Ernie on are Mondays and Thursdays from 6:00-7:30 PM. The rest of the week we will be assigned distance runs to be completed at regular Running Club times or on your own.
